Results For Our Clients

Broadhead & Associates focuses on creative marketing public relations programs, along with education and information campaigns, particularly in the area of food, nutrition and wellbeing. B&A has also assisted clients with crisis management planning and employee communication. We can provide a full range of public relations services to assist your organisation.

Here's just a few of the results we've achieved for a range of clients:

  • Strengthened relationships with key media and successfully trained spokespeople in media skills techniques to improve their media performance, including developing and focusing on key messages.

  • yellow_chairClient web site visitor numbers subtantially increased following development of new content and design, along with promotion involving Search Engine Optimisation techniques as well as media and other website placements.

  • Generated sales for new products and maintained brand loyalty/sales for long-established products through the development of  Handy Hints concept for booklets demonstrating new usage suggestions/practical tips for the client's product range and provided a vehicle to introduce lesser-known products to a new audience. Hints concept successfully extended to advertorials, on-pack and web site. Over 150,000 copies of Handy Household Hints booklets distributed and over 100,000 Microwave Hints.

  • Client retail sales analysis demonstrated sales increases directly correlated to PR activity and fall off over time slower than compared to advertising.

  • Reached over 3 million Australians with media promotion for web-based, education resources and key influencer communications, with limited budget.

  • Scientific research supported health message. eg. CSIRO research findings released to dietitian meetings then media conferences/interviews. Coeliac Study on fibre levels and ways to improve (using client products) reported to dietitians, Coeliac Societies, health reporters.

  • Arranged simultaneous promotions in Japan and Australia so media coverage generated here could appear on Japanese TV and in print to coincide with Japanese activities. eg. new product launches held at Art Gallery of NSW Japanese ‘Floating World’ exhibition, another at Parliament House. Coverage on one Japanese TV program alone attracted an audience greater than Australia’s population. The client was recognised on the street in Japan as the product spokesperson.

  • Engaged consultant dietitian to help develop resources and act as spokesperson. eg High Performance Eating Strategies booklet and video translated sports nutrition theory into practice by demonstrating a particular food’s role in training, competition and recovery. Over half a million High Performance Eating Strategies booklets now in Australian homes.

  • Associated the health/product message with credible authorities. eg Quit Campaign addressing the ‘Quitter’s Quandary’ of replacing cigarettes with overeating. Leaflet and media campaign using consultant dietitian to identify ‘Quitter’s Quota’ of appropriate snacks, nibbles and meals – reinforcing healthy options including the client’s product. Cardiac Starter Kits for coronary care units in hospitals including catering recipes, patient leaflets.

  • Involved athletes, sporting bodies, coaches, schools, dietitians and media to promote and distribute information. eg dietitian-led cooking classes for athletes and families in major regional centres demonstrating recipes using client products and outlining nutrition information; plus through client sponsored swimming camps.

  • Comprehensive communication strategies supported the successful commercialisation of a division of a major public utility and helped re-shape corporate culture and engaged the workforce with the organisation’s new vision and goals and effectively communicated benefits to key clients and other stakeholders.

  • Managed crisis and issues communication to achieve positive outcomes for a client. Negative coverage of a product recall was limited; long-term sales not affected. Following restructure involving job losses, coverage generally supportive and no strikes or sales losses resulted.

  • Overwhelmingly positive response to a factory employee program to support the launch of a new range of bread for a major food company.
